Privacy Policy
Brancho keeps track of your garden so you don't have to. This page explains, in plain English, what we collect, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Last updated: 26 August 2026
Brancho is operated by Bexamy Pty Ltd as trustee for the Meager Family Trust.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, a password managed by our authentication provider (we never see it in readable form), and your first name if you choose to give one.
- Where you garden: the postcode and climate zone you select, so timing advice suits your part of Australia.
- Your garden records: the plants you add, planting dates, tasks, notes, job history, custom jobs, plant requests, and any photos you upload against a plant.
- Email preferences: whether you've opted in to the weekly garden email, and delivery records such as which weekly send you were included in.
- Subscription details: if you subscribe to Brancho Pro, we store your plan status, billing interval, renewal date and the customer and subscription identifiers we receive from Paddle.
- Technical and security data: ordinary request information such as IP address, browser or device details and timestamps, used to run the service, keep it available, and prevent abuse (for example, rate limiting anonymous plant requests).
Card details: Brancho never receives or stores your full card number. Paddle acts as the Merchant of Record for Brancho Pro and handles payment information directly.
Why we use it
- To create your account and keep you signed in.
- To work out what your garden needs next, timed to your climate.
- To save your garden history so you can look back at what you did and when.
- To send the weekly garden email — only if you've opted in.
- To manage billing, subscription status and what your plan includes.
- To answer support emails.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
- To understand what's working and improve Brancho.
Who helps us run Brancho
We use a small number of service providers, and only share what each one needs to do its job:
- Supabase — authentication, database and file storage for your account and garden records.
- Brevo — sending the weekly garden email and managing the subscriber list.
- Paddle — payment and subscription processing as Merchant of Record for Brancho Pro.
- Lovable and related hosting and infrastructure providers — hosting the website and application, and serving images and other assets.
These providers process information on our behalf under their own terms and security practices. We disclose your information only to the service providers we need to operate Brancho, where you ask us to or consent, or where it's required or authorised by law.
Overseas processing
Some of our providers operate internationally, so your information may be stored or processed outside Australia. The exact locations depend on each provider's infrastructure and can change, so we don't list specific countries here rather than risk stating something inaccurate. If you'd like to know where a particular part of your data sits, ask us at hello@brancho.com.au and we'll tell you what we can.
Email and your choices
The weekly garden email is opt-in. You can turn it off at any time from your account settings or by using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email. Turning reminders or emails off doesn't delete your garden or your care advice. We may still send you essential service messages, such as password resets or billing notices.
Cookies and local storage
Brancho uses essential browser storage only: keeping you signed in, remembering preferences and small bits of state, and supporting the checkout process when you subscribe. We don't run advertising trackers or third-party analytics profiling on the site, so there's no cookie consent banner to click through.
Access, correction and deletion
Most of your information can be viewed and edited directly in Brancho. You can also email hello@brancho.com.au to ask for a copy of your information, to correct something, or to close your account and delete your data. Some records may be kept for a period where reasonably required for legal, billing, security, backup or dispute purposes, and backups are cycled out over time.
Security and keeping things small
We only collect what Brancho actually needs to work. Access to the database is restricted per account, uploads and admin tools are limited to the people who need them, and connections are encrypted in transit. No online service can promise perfect security, but we take it seriously and fix problems promptly when we find them.
We don't sell your information
Brancho does not sell your personal information.
Children
Brancho isn't designed as a children's service. Anyone is welcome to garden, but a paid Brancho Pro subscription should be taken out by an adult, or by someone otherwise legally able to enter into a contract.
Australian privacy law
Where Australian privacy law applies to us, we handle personal information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles. Regardless of whether it applies, the practices described on this page are what we actually do.
Questions or complaints
Email hello@brancho.com.au and we'll look into it and reply. If you're not satisfied with how we've handled a privacy concern, you can raise it with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
